Roy scores in injury time - 02:08
Klein Roy made his Aces pay and has doubled up to 125k at a critical stage in the IPO - 4 mins on the clock.
The loudest whoop of the night alerted me to the hand and I ran (okay ambled) over in time to see Roy’s Aces hold strong over a pair of kings.

Nothing like flopping the stone cold nuts to keep you perky at 2am - and that’s what happened when Mick McLaughlin’s AQ hit T-J-K along with a shorter stack’s J-Q. Unsurprisingly the chips found their way into the middle, and the straight held up.
Elsewhere Mick McCloskey had less of a good time with his Ace-X holding after being raised all in on a flop of

. He’d led for 15,000 and now faced going out with what he later said was, “An Ace…” - he opted for the fold, but his opponent gave him a peek at his
just in case, perhaps, a little late-nite tilt could be induced.
Update - 1:49
110 runners left with an average stack of 59,090.
No commentsPoker After Zark - 01:36
Desperately short, now, although seemingly still in high spirits, the indefatiguable Julien Zarka just moved in preflop on the button when it folded to him with the totally adequate Ah 6h. Small blind Florian Martinel beat him into the pot, however, and it turned out, after much calculation and recalculation (it is late, after all) that he had Zarka covered by just 3,500. He held Kh Qc.
Flop: 8h 8d 8c The table chuckles at the oddness, as you do.
Turn: 5h
River: Qh  “Flush!” announces Zarka, cheerfully, and the dealer is actually pushing the pot to him when the floorman points out that the Queen gave Martinel a house of Eights. Zarka exits stage left, cheerfully.
No commentsBang, Bang: Thomas shoots down the cowboys - 01:30
Confusion reigned among the Boylepoker unit when Thomas Bangstad took his 2nd bounty of the day by clipping the wings Joey Murphy; Bangstad’s aces taking down KK.
A board meeting was called and an executive decision was made: we’ll give him the home and away kit.
Bangstad, an avid Man U fan, will have to seriously consider changing teams now that he has 2 Sunderland jerseys.
Bangstad moves up to 110k in chips.
